Empowering Collaboration, Transforming Data: UIDMS, Where Academia and Industry Unite!
My university final year project, UIDMS (University Industry Data Management System), stands as a remarkable achievement in my development journey. From the inception of wireframes to the realization of a fully functional system, I dedicated extensive time and effort to bring this project to fruition. UIDMS serves as a testament to my growth and expertise in user interface design and development. It showcases my ability to conceptualize, design, and implement a comprehensive solution, marking a significant milestone in my academic and professional career.
UIDMS is equipped with a wide range of features and functions specifically designed to simplify the management of industry data for universities. This user-friendly system allows users to rate each company, providing valuable feedback to staff and decision-makers. These ratings help determine the value and benefits that each industry brings to the university. By utilizing this system, universities can make informed decisions, cultivate fruitful partnerships, and foster an environment of growth and success.
This system incorporates a convenient QR code attendance feature, allowing users to effortlessly record event attendance using their smartphones. By simply scanning the QR code, attendees’ presence is automatically registered and stored. The system then analyzes this attendance data and presents it in a visually informative graph format for administrators and staff members to gain insights. This data-driven approach enables the identification of areas for improvement in collaboration between the university and industry, fostering enhanced engagement and fruitful partnerships.
In addition to the comprehensive web-based system, I have developed a dedicated mobile application for UIDMS. This application provides administrators with the ability to monitor staff login locations and their current activities, ensuring productivity and deterring any potential slack-off. Furthermore, the mobile app features a convenient QR code reader function that enables instant access to company details by scanning the QR codes associated with each company. This seamless integration enhances efficiency and convenience for administrators, promoting effective management and facilitating streamlined communication between the university and industry partners. I am very grateful that my final year project was awarded the Best Project Award in my university final year project competition. This award is a testament to my dedication and hard work, and it serves as a reminder of my growth and development.
